AquaSteady Builds Resilience

Designed for large-scale agriculture, AquaSteady supports a wide range of crop types, soil conditions, and climates—helping farmers build long-term resilience.

How It Works

Absorption

AquaSteady stores excess water from saturated soil during rainfall or irrigation.

Storage

It then acts as small water reservoirs distributed throughout the root zone.

Release

And slowly releases moisture as the surrounding soil dries, maintaining optimal growing conditions.

Why It’s Needed

Biodegradable & Eco Friendly

AquaSteady is a sustainable alternative to synthetic petroleum-based hydrogels. Rather than polluting soil with microplastics, it naturally breaks down to enrich the soil’s microbial culture.

Environmental Benefits

Seaweed is a natural fertilizer and cleans the environment by sequestering CO₂ and nitrogen as it grows. Our manufacturing process is eco-friendly, requiring no high-temperature processing, and recovers approximately 50% of the water used in production. As AquaSteady breaks down in soil, it can provide nutrients that synthetic alternatives cannot offer.

How It’s Used

AquaSteady is currently being tested on broccoli, bell peppers, cantaloupe, beans, sudan grass, and citrus trees in drought-prone regions. Field trials demonstrate that the hydrogel maintains its effectiveness for over 10 weeks of wetting and drying cycles.
Three form factors address different agricultural scales:
Powder — Seedling mixes, starter trays
Beads — Row crops, can be applied by using existing agricultural equipment
Nets/Spirals — Tree crops, saplings, transplants
